Istanbul seems to really like shopping malls. They are everywhere, and in fact the theatre we are performing in is attached to one. The one that is closest to our hotel was the largest shopping mall in Europe from 2005-2011 in fact! Naturally I found it on my first day of exploring Istanbul!
